about the firm

James Hundt, Architect is an architectural and consulting firm dedicated to the promotion of quality facilities for religious organizations.

Often, leaders and members of a congregation need the services of an architectural firm with strong experience in master planning, historic preservation, liturgical consulting, fund raising assistance and congregational consensus-building. When the need arises, church leaders may not know who can best meet their diverse needs.

As a result of many years of experience and research, James Hundt, Architect is in an ideal position to be of service to religious organizations in need of these professional services. Unlike many other firms, we understand the multiple facets of a church's ministries, congregation, limited financial resources and multi-purpose building needs. Whether it be the preparation of a long range Master Plan, the preservation/adaptive reuse of or addition to a historic church, or the planning and design of a new facility, you will find this same commitment to providing high quality, personalized, needs-based design services.

James Hundt has been involved with the design and construction of religious structures since 1980. Over the years, he has designed a wide variety of facilities for religious organizations and other institutional clients. These projects have ranged from the construction documents for entire new facilities to the design of a private chapel to a new church lighting system. For all projects, Mr. Hundt has maintained the same level of commitment and communication with the client from inception to occupancy. Mr. Hundt graduated from the McGill University School of Architecture in Montreal. He is licensed to practice architecture in a number of states and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
